| Noel Crane has been the most serious force to come in between Felicity and Ben, not because he's a viliian but because he's in love with Felicity. The two share an incredible bond as best friends, despite dating in her freshman year, the two broke up and since then have remained the closest of friends. However senior year, Felicity succumbed to a moment of weakness and had sex with Noel. After being rejected,, he found that in order to really move forward in life he needs to work on excepting that Felicity will never love him in the way he loves her and that he needs to search for meaning in his life and find someone who is as sweet as him. |
| Julie Emrick was Felicity's best friend, who shared the same passion as her for Ben. Initially she didn't date Ben for Felicity's sake but a life altering moment changed that, Felicity excepted it. However Ben began to realise he was falling for Felicity and broke up with Julie, Julie discovered that Felicity and Ben were becoming more than "platonic" and was understandably angry. In their sophmore year the three made amends, however before Julie dropped out of college, she began to cling to Ben. Felicity felt threatened, only to discover that Julie was trying to make sure Ben didn't repeat her mistakes in regards to family. |
| Greg Stenson was the head of the University Health Center in which as "conserves" Felicity and Ben had to report to him. Almost instantly did Ben dislike Greg, but Greg admired Felicity's strength and passion. Eventually Felicity began to date Greg much to Ben's chargin, she admired the idea that he had direction resulting in Ben going to lengths to prove his worth to Felicity. Greg, however realised that Felicity and Ben were in love and rather than stand in the way, he decided to let Felicity go. |
| Avery Swanson abruptly entered the lives of Feilcity and Ben during the Christmas party shoot out in which she was shot. Ben remained with Avery as the paramedics revived her, as time passed Avery came back to the scene alive and well and very much after Ben. First came basketball courtside seats, then a V.I.P party, a motorbike and a Playstation 2, Felicity realised there was more to this with Avery willingly admitting it. Ben became confused about his feelings for them both, even going to the Hamptons with Avery. However Felicity followed them up and declared her love for Ben, in which he then knew it was out of sympathy he paid any attention to Avery and told her goodbye for good. |
| Lauren came into the story as Mr Covington's AA counsellor, Ben felt a mutual connection with her due to his father. However when Ben discovered Felicity's affair with Noel, he began to turn to Lauren for comfort who in fact was attracted to her younger counterpart. Ben invited Lauren to Felicity's final Thanksgiving dinner and immediately felt our of place when it was clear that they story was far from over between this couple. Lauren had an intense relationship which ended not too long ago, this relationship has been kept rather quietly from Ben. Ben and Lauren spent one night together as Ben thought Felicity wanted nothing to do with him. We are yet to see what Lauren has in store for Ben... |
