| The Icecream Theory Most people wonder why my site is called "Better Than Icecream", and the reason is based on a theory created by fan. Which is that in Season 2 when Felicity and Ben finally got together the song "Icecream" by Sarah McLachlan. When Felicity needs comfort she seemingly turns to Noel for it, from family problems to mutual moments of vulnerability. One of the lines of the song states "Your love is better than icecream", it connects that Felicity's love for Ben is stronger than her indulgence in her comfort zone. Despite her friendship being strong with Noel, it will never compare to the love shared between Ben and Felicity. The Snow Theory I thought of this theory, I remembered when Felicity and Ben were on the rooftop in the pilot episode. In the episode "Perfect Match" you find them both staring up into the sky when the snow begins to fall, almost like they remembered the reason why they in New York. However no longer is that beautiful thing keeping them there, it's the true love that they found with each other. This year started off McLachlan heavy until the big break up and then all Felicity's hair went away and so did Sarah, until you guys broke into the pool. Now maybe it was a coincidence but guess who started to make a comeback? It was gradual but constant and now if you want me to I can sing any song from "Mirrorball" which really annoys the hell out of me! So if you ever curious as to whether Felicity has the hots for you, just check her boom box" Following Your Heart Felicity always thought that she could follow Ben anywhere, when Ben asks Felicity to move to Arizona to raise his son with Lauren, Felicity is faced with a huge decision. Mr Porter feels that she is making a 'colossal mistake' and asks whether she has had enough of following Ben Covington around. Noel feels that Felicity should stay in New York because of her friends and prospects there, Felicity takes all of this into stride and makes a decision. She decides that she isn't going back to New York after graduation and tells Ben that she's followed him long enough and now it's his turn. They have one last passionate night before they part, six months later Felicity realises her passion was always pre-med and attends college in Palo Alto. Ben decides to move back from Arizona to Palo Alto to follow his heart & be with the one he always loved - Felicity. The Time Continuum Theory Destiny certainly has a way of revealing itself, when Felicity goes into rewind and lands back to the night she slept wth Noel she tests her heart to see if Ben really is her soulmate after he cheats on her due to her distance. Despite getting together with Noel, Felicity and Ben couldn't fight their chemistry and eventually shared an intimate kiss. When Julie came into the picture again with her sights set on Ben, a game of spin the bottle made Noel realise that Felicity will never stop loving Ben. Felicity tries to reveal she's from the future only to be doubted by both Ben and Noel and becomes instituionalised, it's only when one of Felicity's "predictions" of Ben comes true that Ben realises she's telling the truth. Felicity and Ben talk about the future and of their love Ben: "Maybe you didn't come back for Noel, maybe you came back for us" Felicity realises that Ben really is her soulmate when his past and present thoughts and feelings come together Ben: "I am so sorry for what I did, it was stupid and immature and was unforgivable. And I know this is an impossible thing for me to ask but you have to find a way to forgive me because I don't want to live my life with you" |
